My Story

Hello,

My name is  Kathryn Dixon and I am the  founder of KATHRYNBIENETRE.

Welcome and I am  glad that  you are here.

Please look around and if you have any professional questions or would like to work with me,  please use the contact form to get in touch.

I would like to share some of my journey with you and what led me to this work.

I began my career as a professional dancer and choreographer and later ran my own dance school and training company for aspiring professionals working in the UK, Paris and Egypt.

Alongside this, I taught dance in a number of primary, secondary and special schools delivering dance within the curriculum Including  GCSE and A level

My years of training,  performing and teaching, have given me a deep understanding

of biomechanics, alignment, and the physical demands placed on the body.

After a significant back injury I was told by doctors that without surgery, I would struggle to recover .

Rather than accept this as my only option, I chose to study the body and recovery through movement rehabilitation, nutrition and fasting.

Through this process I was able to restore my own health without the need for surgery, although I fully recognise that surgery sometimes is necessary and the right path for many people.

I wanted to understand

not only how recovery happens, but why injury and pain occur in the first place and how they can be addressed from a holistic multi faceted perspective.

I pursued university-level training in the UK, qualifying as an Advanced Soft Tissue Therapist with

extensive study in anatomy, physiology, rehabilitation, and movement science.

I also completed master level  professional training in yoga  alongside nutrition, reflexology, reiki, as well as additional study in herbal approaches to wellbeing with the Scottish school of herbal medicine.

This further deepened my understanding of how the body functions as an interconnected system.

I also came to appreciate

how vital human touch is in helping the body move into a deeply relaxed state and thus allowing it to work with its own innate wisdom for restoration.

I later opened a specialist back pain clinic in the UK, where I developed  yoga  movement and nutritional programmes designed to address posture, muscular imbalances and chronic pain at its source.

My work also supported mental health and emotional wellbeing  integrating nutritional and lifestyle strategies as part of a therapeutic approach.

Now based in France, I am a  Wellbeing Practitioner, offering yoga and movement classes and therapeutic massage and bodywork for wellbeing.

I also offer private sessions, events, workshops and master classes and retreats.

Although some of my UK  qualifications do not formally transfer within the French system, they have deeply shaped my understanding of the body and remain part of my journey and learning.

My wellbeing work includes

:• Deep tissue and sports massage

• Reflexology, Reiki ,Indian head and foot massage

• Joint-focused yoga and mobility training

• Strength and alignment programmes

  • workshops, events and retreats.

I work with people who want to truly understand their bodies, move with greater ease, feel stronger, and build lasting resilience.

I recognise that the body changes  through every stage of life, and my approach is designed to nurture and support sustainable   strength and long-term wellbeing at every age.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story, please feel free to get in touch and let me know how I may be able to help you or your organisation.

With love Kathryn
